The Ike Willis project bio
Ike Willis played with Frank Zappa for 18 years. He was the voice of Joe's Garage as well as the sideman for the bulk of Zappa's albums. After Franks untimely death on December 4, 1993, Ike began playing with Zappa tribute bands from all around the globe including Dweezil Zappa's -Zappa plays Zappa and in 2013 decided to promote his own albums and own band entitled THE IKE WILLIS PROJECT. Playing about 80% of his original cuts from the "Shoulda Gone Before I Left" and "Dirty Pictures" albums as well as some Frank Zappa favorites.
Louis Metoyer ( Guitar, Vocals ) is a composer, guitarist and music producer at Six String Lou Productions. Studied at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. His credentials include the following: 4 Non Blondes, MacyGray, Terence Trent D'Arby, Belinda Carlisle, Hilary Duff, Willie Chambers, Bobby Brown and New Edition.
Duane Waider ( Drums, Vocals ) playing since age 3 and on tour by age 5, opening for acts such as: Paul Revere and The Raiders, Iron Butterfly, The Turtles, The Herman Hermits, etc. With 2 Grammy Nominations under his belt, Duane currently takes the stage with Ike Willis.
Bob Byrnes ( Bass, Vocals ) from Chicago, Illinois, playing since age 7, Bob has had an extensive career playing with everyone from Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers, to his current position with The Ike Willis Project.
Shane Keys ( Keys, Vocals ) playing since age 3, he has had an extensive musical career as well, playing with the following: Run DMC, Bo Diddley, James Brown, Nelly, The Wailers, George Clinton and P Funk, etc.
Andrea Thomas Willis ( Percussion, Vocals ) 15 Years of vocal experience rounding out The Ike Willis Project.
